Angelina Armani leaves Digital Playground

Angelina Armani  releases this statement:

“I am no longer exclusive with Digital Playground. While I still believe in the quality projects they produce, we were not in harmony in how I wanted my career to go. I am now a free agent and look forward to taking advantage of all the opportunities that present themselves. The first one was taking part in the Adam Sandler produced movie Born To Be A Star, which made me SAG eligible. I have a lot of exciting projects lined up with a team that is anxious and ready move forward at the fast pace I am comfortable with.”

I don’t know what went on behind the scenes and as far as I know Digital Playground doesn’t have a history of abusing their girls. But to me it seems after Angelina just finished filming a bit part in an Adam Sandler movie, maybe she got a big ego and thinks she doesn’t need the people around her anymore that got her to where she is today. Angelina first started in gonzo. She then starts dating publicist Monstar of The Star Factory. He takes her to the Pirates 2 movie premiere and there she was discovered by Digital Playground.

She gets a bit part on an Adam Sandler movie that will probably end up on the cutting room floor and now she thinks she’s hit it big? She only got her Digital Playground contract because she’s dating Monstar who knows everyone at these companies. Now she says goodbye to the people that made her a bigger name than she was before and who had plucked her out of gonzo.

I don’t know what happened behind the scenes there. But it’s sort of karma thrown back at Digital Playground. Convincing these girls to hand over 100% of their identity and name. Their biggest star is Jesse Jane and she doesn’t even own her name and would have to change her name if she ever left them. Unless she did what Teagan Presley and Tera Patrick did and sue to get their names back which they both won.

I wonder if she will go back to the name Arianna Armani before Digital Playground told her to change her name. I also wonder if Monstar is behind this and convinced her that he can fully run her career now.

I was told that yes Angelina and Monstar are still dating. But I just looked at Angelina’s two Myspace pages, Angelina Armani and Arianna Armani. Also Monstar’s Myspace page. Her Angelina page says her status is single while Monstar’s status says divorced. Are they still dating? Now that would be a story if she had ditched both of them thinking she can do it on her own now! She wouldn’t have met Digital Playground if it wasn’t for Monstar and his help. Digital Playground spent a fortune on her and has the machine behind them to make an unknown into a star. She now won’t have that machine.

I don’t know if dating a publicist will be enough to help her career because most everyone only came to know who she was after she signed with Digital Playground. While on one hand I go against her for doing this to Digital Playground when she hasn’t even been with them that long yet. On the other hand I salute her for throwing a load of karma at them! She possibly used them just long enough to get her name out there and then bails on them. But will anyone trust her anymore?
