The American Association for Nude Recreation has helped set the Guinness world record for the number of people skinny dipping at once
Forget the bathing suit, this swim was all about the birthday suit.

The Guinness World Record created a category for the “largest number of people skinny dipping at once,” and the American Association for Nude Recreation set up simultaneous naked dips across the US and Canada.

All across the country, Americans stripped down en masse.

In New Jersey, 134 nudists jumped into a pool at Sky Farm in Basking Ridge. All the participants had to be fully naked at exactly 3 p.m. and have water up to their shoulders to fulfill the guidelines, the Asbury Park Press reports.

“Thank you, everybody, for being part of nudist history,” called out Cindy Thiboutout, who served as event coordinator the APP reports.

At the same time, 317 visitors at the White Tail nudist resort in Ivor, Va., crowded into the community pool.

“It was great,” Duane Ison told the Virginian-Pilot. “It’s really a lot of fun.”

Ison and his wife had been to the resort five times, but many of the swimmers were new to skinny dipping, and just wanted to be a part of the world record, the Virginian-Pilot reports.

“It was great for us,” said Carolyn Hawkins, a spokeswoman for the American Association for Nude Recreation. “We attracted new members, people came from all over just to help break the record.”

This is the first year for the giant skinny dip. The current count for the dippers is around 12,000 Hawkins told the Daily News, and they are still counting.

“Whatever the record is, we can’t wait to break it next year,” said Hawkins.

RESIDENTS in the rural area have renamed their street “Dildo Boulevard” after 30 sex toys were found lying in front of a house on Friday morning.

Robert Johns and Laurelle Bates discovered the mysterious toys as they left for work in the morning.

“It’s a real mystery. We have no idea where they came from,” Ms Bates said.

“I know they aren’t new. They look used.”

Mr Johns said he counted the sex toys on Friday morning, and the number had decreased within 24 hours.

Many of the devices are still lying outside the Osbeck Rd home – most crushed under the wheels of passing cars.

Locals have been puzzled by their sudden appearance and are trying to solve the curious case of the invading sex toys.

One theory is that it is an elaborate – and expensive – practical joke. Another school of thought is that they fell off the back of a delivery truck.

Some said the sex toys could have been inside somebody’s rubbish bin, and fell onto the street on Thursday night when the garbage was collected.

Neighbour Camilla Cappa said the sex toys were a curious addition to the rural area.

“There were all different kinds. Some were different colours. One was like a banana,” she said.

“I had a child in the car. He just thought they were firecrackers.”

Within hours of the sex toys appearing, a resident replaced the street sign – changing it to “Dildo Boulevard”.

“I just cracked up. It was very entertaining,” Ms Cappa said.

Another neighbour, who wished not to be named, said she spotted the strange items on her usual morning walk.
