VENICE, CA – It was another awards announcement and another one for the record books as Jenna Haze led the industry with seven awards in the first annual Blue Screw Review Awards, winning key categories including Best Gonzo Director and several other awards for movies she directed for her Jennaration X Studios as well as Best Adult Star Site and Best Adult Starlet.

“Anyone who is paying attention to the state of porn today is probably thinking it is in a state of hurt and disorder,” Blue Screw Review writer Thomas Newton said Tuesday in an email. “You’d never know it by watching anything Jenna Haze has anything to do with. Her scenes are as powerful as they ever have been, and we’re talking about the best performer in recent times. But where she is truly defying convention is with her production company. She is stomping on the terra, putting out one epic after another, hours-long in a time when other companies are releasing four-sceners to save a buck. She is possibly the most creative director working today and no one is matching her movie for movie. No one comes close. She doesn’t put out duds, everything is a masterpiece. I contend she is at least as great of a director as she is a performer.”

She is also a master of the stage and an award-winning feature dancer. The folks in Wichita, KS, will see exactly why when love comes to Jezebels this Fri., Dec. 23 for five shows in one huge night of Jenna.

Jenna and her company, Jennaration X Studios, are nominated for 16 trophies at the 2012 AVN Awards, where she will also be entering the AVN Hall of Fame. She is nominated for three categories at the 2012 XBIZ Awards.

Performer Sasha Grey has begun production for her new company Grey Art, a full-service adult film production company, co-owned with producer/director Oren Cohen

LOS ANGELES — Performer Sasha Grey has begun production for her new company Grey Art, a full-service adult film production company, co-owned with producer/director Oren Cohen.

“The Fuck Junkie” the first title for Grey Art, will be released domestically this summer. “The Fuck Junkie” also is Sasha Grey‘s directorial debut. A package will be available with the title altered to “The F@%k Junkie” for places where the original title would be offensive, publicist Brian Gross told XBIZ.

“I’ve waited a long time to sow my seeds as a director, because I wanted to have the perfect platform,” Grey said. “Together Oren and I have created Grey Art as a means to deliver our vision(s) to a varied audience, and I look forward to the continuing challenge of being a modern-day female entrepreneur.”

Grey, 21, who has been a presence in the adult video world since she started performing at 18, most recently made an impression in mainstream as the star of director Steven Soderbergh’s “The Girlfriend Experience.”

Cohen said he is looking forward to the collaboration.

“I’m extremely excited to work with Sasha,” Cohen said. “Our visions and esthetic sensibilities are remarkably similar. The nature of our partnership feels incredibly natural and positive, far more positive than anything else I’ve encountered in the adult space. It’s great to have a partner in crime on this strange journey”

A new website, TheFuckJunkie.com, will be launched to coincide with the release of the company’s first title.

Other plans for the company have not been announced.
